SOME MORE COLORS!

Hi girls!❤

As we all know that Bengali new year has just passed few days ago and we just cannot think of sitting idle without celebrating it. An event 'Sfuling Annual Programme 2K16' was organised in GanaBhavan Auditorium at Hooghly District, Calcutta on Saturday the 23rd, where participants from different places rehearse for months and perform that day.

My sister-in-law Sristi Banerjee (in the middle) was also a part of that programme, along with Srimayee Chatterjee (Left) and Tiasha Saha (Right) who were all decked up in South-Cotton Sarees which I find, super gorgeous. The golden borders, steal the show. And to add a little spice, if you wear it with the correct pleats, you can be a star!!

They chose South Cottons for the opening performance. Their makeup has been done by me. The base was super heavy because it was a stage performance and the look required neatness and the base had to be flawless. The eyes had to be dark but vibrant. I used goldens, bronze and black for the outer corners to create a slight wing. Couldn't do much on Srimayee (Left) as she has small eyes and hooded, to top it all. I kept her eyes very simple with a little highlight at the corners. The lips have been lined with a nude lip liner followed by a nude filler. This makes the lip color stay for a longer span of time. The lipstick is a Red shade from Lakme Enrich Satin range. Didn't really notice the colour because that was the last thing they had to do (choosing a bright lip shade and they couldn't decide soon. That took them another 5-7 minutes). I made them do their lips themselves.

The hair has been tied into a bun wrapped with flowers. Blouses have been picked very wisely as colors were an important part here. Jewellery hand-picked from New Market, Kolkata, days before the show. And, finally, a red bindi to complete the whole look.

PS. 'Bohiragoto' - A Bangla Rock Band, was a part of the show. I watched them perform Live! A treat to the eyes, I swear.
If you do not know much about Bohiragoto, check out their YouTube channel and go through the videos! Big fan now :)

I also posted a short video of Bohiragoto who performed 'Sheila Ki Jawani' that day on Facebook. I never knew an item number can be sung in Rock Version, that too so amazingly! You can head to my Facebook Timeline and watch the video.

Thankyou :)
Love ❤
